For all you classic vehicle enthusiasts out there, we’ve put together a new motoring events section on our website. As complete car nuts, we attend quite a few events around the county and the country! So we thought it was only fair to share our favourites with you.
We’ve put together a list which we hope you will find useful. We will be attending some of them (most of them!) and we think you will enjoy them too. If you’re at any of these events, look out for Richard and his Moggy or Justin with his Mitsubishi GTO.
Most car events are family-friendly with lots of fun things for the kids as well as beautiful vintage vehicles to admire.
Vintage Vehicles at the Great Central Railway
The Great Central Railway have two events in April: the Easter Vintage Festival and the Heritage Bus Rally.
Richard will be taking his stunning 1971 Morris Minor to the Easter Vintage Festival to show it off along with the other classic cars.

There’s a strong family connection at the Heritage Bus Rally too. Richard’s cousin, Andrew Tucker, will be there with his 1960’s Leicester City Transport buses. See the image below for an example of one of these fine vehicles.
What’s more, Steve Foxon, a long-time friend of the garage, will have his bus on show. You can get free rides on the vintage buses at the Heritage Bus Festival. Check out their website for more details.

A47 Auto Jumble
In May the main show is the A47 Auto Jumble. These popular motoring events take place on the May and August bank holidays. They are without doubt an absolute blast for car enthusiasts of all flavours.
The Auto Jumble is an increasingly popular event with a great relaxed atmosphere. The “Auto Jumble” is a huge selection of parts for sale. There’s live entertainment, food stalls, and a bouncy castle! Cars over 30 years old can enter and display for free.
There’s even a huge motorbike section now. Something for every kind of motor fan. Justin is a regular at this event with his Mitsubishi GTO so don’t forget to say hello if you spot him there.
